Immigration Legislation Description
The Department of Immigration was created by an Act of Parliament CAP 122 of 1965 with the mandate to enforce the Immigration and Deportation Act. The Immigration Act over the years underwent a number of amendments until it was repealed and replaced by the Immigration and Deportation Act number 18 of 2010 of the Laws of Zambia, which is currently in force as read with the Immigration and Deportation (Amendment) Act, 2016 of the Laws of Zambia.
